C. Lorne Brown has been involved with the company since 1981 when he took the company public as a broker with a major Canadian brokerage firm. He became President of the company in 2003, and has been working since then towards building the company to a level that will allow him to present the company to his numerous financial contacts in North America and Europe. He is formally trained in mathematics and economics, with 30 years experience in venture capital.
Mr. James Proudfoot is an experienced and accomplished professional engineer in the mineral exploration and mining sectors. He has held executive and senior positions with many leading mining companies in North America including Falconbridge, Noranda, J.S. Redpath and Dynatec during his extensive career. He is a graduate geologist and mining engineer as well as a formally trained accountant, and currently consults to the mining industry in these areas.
Dominic (“Nick”) Lapenna has been involved in sales and marketing for thirty years, and is currently a consultant to a major appliance marketing company, interfacing with major retail accounts across North America. Prior to his current assignment he was in charge of the sales and marketing team that launched a major household appliance in NA, with sales growing from thousands to hundreds of millions. Nick is a graduate of the Harvard University PMD Program.
A. Douglas Macaulay graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in business administration, and after a period of time in government service, he joined his family business and is currently President and CEO. He has had a continuing interest in venture capital, and has been an investor and Director in several public and private ventures over the past twenty-five years.
Paul Dennison is a UK citizen with extensive experience in debt markets, emerging markets, relationship management, origination, underwriting, syndication, bank supplementary capital, interest rate and cross currency swaps, various option books, foreign exchange, structured products, documentation, special purpose vehicles and financial services regulation. He began his career in investment banking in July 1977 when he joined the London trading desk of Credit Suisse First Boston Limited. In January 1984 he moved to Merrill Lynch in London where he was initially responsible for the floating rate note business and subsequently the Managing Director responsible for fixed income syndicate outside of the USA. He was also the co-head of Debt Capital Markets Origination for the regions outside the Americas and a member of the Merrill Lynch European executive management committee. In January 1999, Paul Dennison joined Deutsche Bank in Switzerland as Managing Director and was the Branch Manager of the bank’s full branch in Switzerland. His responsibilities included all Debt Division activities in Switzerland and various senior client relationship activities. In February 2004,
Paul Dennison co-founded and began working for Sloan Asset Management AG, a Zurich-based investment advisory and asset management company, regulated in Switzerland and also licensed by the Securities Exchange Commission in the USA. Sloan Asset Management AG manages a global equity portfolio for private individuals and various companies around the world. In March 2009, he established Investment Advisors Zurich AG, an additional investment advisory and asset management business. This company’s primary operations are in Singapore through its subsidiary, LVP Premier Asset Management Pte. Ltd, where he now works.
